[S2E5] Game Day BEST

While frolickingly prancing through the gift shop in the Mystery Shack, Mabel runs face-first in the screen door and accidentally gets her braces caught. As she screams in terror for her will to be dictated (specifically for Waddles to inherit all of her worldly possessions), Soos comes to the rescue and pries the braces out with a screwdriver, before bidding goodbye upon finishing his shift. Shortly after he leaves, Mabel ponders over what Soos does in his spare time, which nobody else finds much interest in the way she does. It is now revealed that Soos usually spends the remainder of the day playing video games at his grandmother's house. While playing Leopard Punch, she informs him his cousin Reggie is having an engagement party, and Soos is surprised that his cousin had become so successful, to which his abuelita replies that Soos is now a grownup and needs to start acting like one before his grandmother passes away. His grandmother then asks Soos to bring a date along to Reggie's engagement party. Soos says he could get a girl by the end of the week, but then immediately has concerns.

Mabel scares all of the women out of the toilet at the mall by screaming at them with a bull horn and Dipper is forced leave to deal with the security that arrived to investigate, leaving Soos to find a date alone. Soos cannot decide how to interact with any of the women due to them having "too many dimensions" and there not being any "explanatory menus." He fails to attract any women once again and wishes he was back home talking to .GIFfany. .GIFfany now appears in a television behind him. Soos is relieved but confused as to how she managed to get to him. .GIFfany now reveals that she was a sentient game and demonstrated her powers on a robotic toy dog to prove a point. She then reveals that attacked her programmers when they tried to delete her. When Soos asks what .GIFfany did to the developers, she politely refuses to answer, due to a supposed lack of importance. She then says that now Soos won't have to talk to real girls ever again and that they can now be together forever to which Soos responds positively. .GIFfany says they can do anything Soos wants, which apparently is riding a toy train.

Soos and .GIFfany seem to be having a great time until his time runs out and he must insert another fifty cents. Melody, a nearby worker at Meat Cute, finds this very amusing and approaches Soos and introduces herself. She says that she admires his uniqueness in riding toy trains even though he is a grown man. After some small talk, they realize that they have a lot in common. Soos then tells Melody about "Hoo-Ha Owl's Pizzamatronic Jamboree," a restaurant that he finds out both he and Melody like. They then decide to go there on a date at eight o'clock. After giving Soos fifty cents, Melody leaves but before Soos can continue to ride the train he is tackled by Mabel and Dipper. Dipper reveals that they had seen the whole thing and that he had performed perfectly. They say that the game really worked and that he can toss it out now. Soos is reluctant to throw it out as he says that he likes .GIFfany and says that she's predictable. When Dipper asks if he can take .GIFfany to his cousin's party though, Soos realizes that he has to "break-up" with .GIFfany.

Back at the mall, Mabel and Dipper are preparing Soos for his date, Mabel by shouting questions at him on what his "love crew" has taught him. Shortly afterward Soos meets up with Melody and they enter the pizzeria just as Stan prepares to steal the animatronic. Soos engages in some conversation with Melody but gets a fright when he sees .GIFfany on one of the arcade screens with the caption "You paused me?" .GIFfany, through the monitors in the arcade, expresses her distaste for Melody and that wants she to get rid of her. After making an awkward excuse, Soos flees to Dipper and Mabel, who have been watching their date, and tells them that .GIFfany has somehow returned and is stalking him. Dipper tries to tell Soos that .GIFfany isn't real but is soon interrupted by .GIFfany who glares at them from the television screens. She soon travels through the arcade games onto the main stage.

Soos tries to get Melody away from .GIFfany, but is interrupted by the ongoing show. .GIFfany then possesses all the animatronics and attempts to stop Soos from escaping. This possession also causes the animatronic Stan is about to steal to attack him. .GIFfany then blocks Dipper, Mabel, Soos and Melody from the exit before turning some nearby skeeball games into cannons that shoot balls at them, causing them to take cover behind an arcade machine. Soos tells Melody to stay with Dipper and Mabel and attempts to lure .GIFfany away from the group as the rest of the group tries to escape from the remaining animatronics.

Tilly and Tiffany's back-and-forth banter in "Doll on Doll" provides a gateway for Chucky to introduce another doll from the Child's Play series. After selecting to stay behind with their mother, Glen pressures her about Tiffany Valentine and her relationship with Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif). On the other hand, Tiffany tries to discover where Glenda has taken Nica, and attempts to lure that information out of Glen. This cat-and-mouse game between them works out in Tiffany's favor after telling Glen who she really is. She also uses Glen and Glenda's recurring dream about the murder Glenda committed in the Child's Play franchise that has kept the twins awake at night, as a method of gaining Glen's trust. Tiffany provides Glen with the Glen doll from Seed of Chucky, which Glen recognizes immediately; they stare at the doll as if they're looking into a mirror. Glen immediately remarks the need to share it with Glenda, allowing Tiffany to get what she's been after.

Ever the party animal, Oliver arranged for the group at the party to play the murder mystery game, Son of Sam. One by one, players would be eliminated, leaving Mabel and Alice as the top suspects in the Son of Sam game.

The next morning, Loras and Margaery stand the vigil over Renly's body; of the two, Loras seems more distraught. Littlefinger bursts in and urges them to flee, as most of the Baratheon bannermen will stay with their sigil and go over to Stannis. While Brienne is quite obviously the most convenient perpetrator, Loras (to his credit) doesn't believe she did it; the three of them agree that Stannis had the motive, if not (to their knowledge) the means or opportunity, and is the most likely culprit. Loras is all for charging off and doing something nasty to Stannis involving a sword (and not the nasty things he did to Renly with his sword either), but Littlefinger and Margaery repeat what seems to be the theme of today's episode: "You can't avenge him from the grave." Once Loras has been convinced to flee, Margaery and Littlefinger have some time for private conversation, and Margaery makes it clear that she is diving into the game of thrones headfirst: "Do you want to be a queen?" "No. I want to be the queen." Littlefinger keeps his poker face on, but it's clear he's paying attention.

Back at Skeldale House, Gerald lovingly adjusts the clock while Mrs. Hall watches. (The romance, such as it is, is on again!) Mrs. Hall does suffer some doubt when Gerald admits he doesn't get cricket. (She will be scoring the match and has a deep love of the game.) As they chat, Mrs. Pumphrey phones on a matter of "utmost discretion," which turns out to be distress and embarrassment at Tricki Woo's recent behavior: "He's become increasingly amorous towards ... things. It's quite unsettling. In the end, I had to take his cushion away." Siegfried explains that this is a sign of health; it's a testament to Mrs. Pumphrey's care. "Less lethargic, more Lothario." He suggests having Tricki Woo neutered, to which Mrs. Pumphrey recoils in horror.

Jeff Barnes is the center of attention when he is sought use his video game skills to save the world by beating Missile Command, as terrorists try to find a hidden missile code through the game using Jeff. Chuck must get Jeff back on his feet as Jeff is no longer Missile Command World Champion.

Chuck is awakened by his alarm clock and notices he still has on last night's disguise. He almost forgets to remove the fake mustache, pulling it off surreptitiously as he is stopped when he rushes to exit the apartment. Ellie and Devon ask him to not miss the most important meal of the day (breakfast) by offering a ginseng protein shake, which, according to Devon, among other things does wonders for your 'wang energy.' Ellie noted that Chuck got in very late last night to which he explained that he was playing video games. Devon asked what happened to all of Chuck's big plans. Ellie added that Chuck should be moving on.

In the room, playing Missile Command, is Mr. Morimoto, the video game developer of Missile Command. He relates he hid secret codes to a deadly satellite on the secret final Kill screen of every Missile Command game. He says that the complex math to get to the kill screen is based on the "music of the universe." Chuck notes Rush's Tom Sawyer is playing. Casey breaks in and they wonder why Morimoto is still playing when he said the bad guys have the code all ready. It turns out that there is a bomb attached to the game console. Morimoto urges them to run. Chuck refuses to leave him behind, but Casey doesn't give him a choice. They are able to escape before the bomb explodes, which incinerates Morimoto.

In Castle, Beckman says they will have to shoot down the satellite with the probability of 'acceptable' civilian casualties. With the possibility that those he loves would number among them, Chuck puts forth an alternate plan to have someone play Missile Command to the final screen: specifically, Jeff. Chuck is able to convince Jeff to play for that final screen but only under certain conditions. Grape cough syrup, M&Ms without any brown, his lucky game console from the Gas 'N Sip in Tarzana, Anna in a hula skirt, and his fans to come watch; Casey tries arguing that Jeff's fans have already moved on; Chuck, who knows the various shades of nerd, shakes his head. When word spreads about Jeff, his fans immediately flock to him. 041b061a72
