We examine the available research to inform our decisions and, where there is scientific uncertainty, we take the most protective path. One day, I cleared out my entire bathroom cabinet.
Every product that contained questionable ingredients—or was tested on animals—was gone.
That was the day I started educating myself. I learned about The Never List—the list of ingredients Beautycounter refuses to use, even though the beauty industry has virtually no regulation. I was shocked to discover that many products, especially those marketed to women, contain hormone disruptors and other chemicals banned in Europe.
From that day forward, I chose to buy only from Beautycounter. Yes, there are more “clean” brands out there now—but none match Beautycounter’s transparency, commitment to policy change, and uncompromising product quality.
